Apprenticeships: engineering matters

We had tickets to the Great Lake Swimmers concert at night, but I wasn’t really sure of how things were set up there and I didn’t think we’d be able to do a full tasting as well as buy a few bottles during the concert, so I made sure we went earlier in the day and visited their tasting room as well.

You need to know the name of the type of beverage you’d like to order or make before you can actually ask for it.You’ve probably heard a few different coffee beverage names thrown around and after this mini lesson, you’ll know exactly what each of them describe.. Cafe Latte.

A cappuccino is nearly the same as a latte, but foamier.A shot of espresso is poured into the bottom of a cup, then the cup is filled 1/2 full with steamed milk and the top half is filled with thick, fluffy foam.

This results in a stronger coffee flavour and also a bit more of an indulgent experience because of all the foam.. Machiatto.

When you hear the word “macchiato” this simply means “marked”.Melt your butter, then slowly pour it in, drizzling it evenly over the surface of the dry ingredients.

With a fork, gently stir and fluff the mixture and fold the butter into the dry ingredients, being careful not to break up too many of the large clumps of ingredients that are forming..If any clumps are ridiculously big, gently cut them in half with the side of your fork, but don’t crush them.

The goal is to end up with some powdery crumbs but mostly larger chunks.Keep flipping and mixing until it looks like all of the dry ingredients have a bit of butter or margarine incorporated into them.. Once your batter is in the prepared baking dish, use a tablespoon to scoop this topping over the top of your favorite cake recipe like coffee cakes, loaf breads, muffins, or just about anything you can dream up.
